Autumn break activities in Kouvola, week 43

During week 43, the City of Kouvola is offering a varied programme of autumn break activities for children, young people and families. There will be sports, culture, excursions, arts and crafts, and opportunities for families to spend time together at venues across the city. Most events are free of charge.

Family fun at the Poikilo Museums on 24 October

Bring the whole family to Kouvolatalo for a museum day filled with fun and memorable experiences. The programme at the Mitäs täällä tapahtuu? exhibition, which explores surprising encounters with art, includes:

  • 1–2 pm Balloon magic with JiiPee
  • 2–3 pm A musical tour of the exhibition led by Ilja Kaskimaa
  • 1–4 pm Drop-in collage, pinwheel and mask workshops

A famous art expert will also be circulating around the exhibition during the event. The expert knows almost everything about art – and probably a little more besides. The answers may surprise you!

While visiting Kouvolatalo, you can also explore the Muuttuva kaupunkimme exhibition about Kouvola’s changing urban landscape with Tassukatti and see works of art in the Kouta and Poikilo galleries.

Admission is free for children. Adults pay the standard museum admission fee. Further information: poikilo.fi.
