The train station is located directly beneath the terminal. There is a direct connection to both the arrivals and departures halls via elevators and escalators.

The P and I train operate between the airport and Helsinki city centre. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased via the HSL mobile app or from the ticket machine on the station platform. Timetables and fares are available on HSL website: Tickets and fares | HSL.fi.

Travel between Helsinki Airport and the rest of Finland is easy with a single train ticket. The easiest transfer points to the airport trains (I and P) are at Tikkurila and Pasila stations. From Helsinki Airport to Kouvola by train

From Helsinki Airport you can reach Kouvola with one easy transfer:

1. Take the local train I or P from Helsinki Airport train station to Tikkurila station. Trains run frequently, roughly every 10 minutes during the day.

2. At Tikkurila station, change to a long-distance VR train (IC or Pendolino) towards Kouvola.

• Total travel time (airport–Kouvola): approximately 1 hour 30–50 minutes, depending on the connection
• Tickets: You can buy a single ticket from “Helsinki Airport” to “Kouvola,” which covers both the airport–Tikkurila section and the long-distance train. Tickets can be purchased via VR’s website or app, or at the airport train station ticket machines.

By train from Helsinki City Centre to Kouvola

You can travel from Helsinki Central Railway Station (Helsinki C) to Kouvola by VR long-distance trains.

• Travel time: approximately 1 hour 20–40 minutes, depending on the connection
• Train types: InterCity (IC) and Pendolino (S)
• Tickets: You can buy tickets in advance via VR’s website or mobile app, or at ticket machines and service points at Helsinki Central Railway Station.

From Kouvola Travel Centre to the Vaakuna Original by Sokos Hotels

The distance from Kouvola Travel Centre to the hotel is 650 metres. Both the railway station and the bus station are located at Kouvola Travel Centre.

From the Travel Centre, you can easily reach the hotel either on foot or by taxi. The taxi stand is located to the right of the main entrance of the Travel Centre.
