Finland's Independence Day will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6. Koutsi public transport will operate according to the Sunday schedule, but the Defence Forces parade held in the city center will affect routes. Visitors coming to watch the parade are encouraged to use public transportation.
The parade will cause street closures and affect public transport from morning until afternoon. Routes 1, 5, 6, and 9 will operate on their normal routes. Other routes will follow the listed detours, which can also be found in the journey planner.
Line 2
Departures between 10:25 and 14:50 will operate in both directions via Utinkatu – Hallituskatu.
Line 3
Departures between 8:35 and 15:10 will operate in both directions on the detour route via Marjoniementie – Savonkatu – Hovioikeudenkatu.
An exception is the 12:35 departure from Anjala, which will operate via Kuusaantie and Mäyränkorpi.
Line 7
Departures between 12:45 and 15:45 will operate in both directions on the detour route via Utinkatu – Hallituskatu.
Line 10
Departures between 9:20 and 15:40 will operate on a detour route via Utinkatu to Lehtomäki and via Marjoniementie – Savonkatu – Hovioikeudenkatu to the city center.
Kaunisnurmi L stop will be out of service from 10:00 to 16:00 as traffic will use only the southbound lane. A temporary stop pair, Keskuskirkko I and Keskuskirkko L, will be established on Hovioikeudenkatu near Kouvola Central Church to serve routes 3 and 10.
The Waltti Customer Service Point will be open on Independence Day Eve, December 5, from 09:00 to 15:00. On Independence Day, the service point will be closed.
