Organized by the Kouvola Student Council, the Amazing Kouvola event brings together secondary and higher education students in Manski and the city center area on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM. The purpose of the event is to introduce new students to Kouvola and the services it offers in terms of studies, work, and leisure.
During the event, students will explore checkpoints around the city center in pre-registered teams. These checkpoints are hosted by various city actors and educational institutions. Services will be presented by, for example, Kouvolan Yhteislyseo, Eduko, Xamk, LUT, Moona, the library, Ohjaamo, and Visit Kouvola. At the checkpoints, participants can complete various tasks and collect stamps in their event passport. Teams that return their passports by the deadline will be entered into a prize draw, with prizes awarded during the closing ceremony at Manski at 6:30 PM.
This bilingual and alcohol-free event will feature music, information about different educational opportunities, and interviews with students and education providers along the pedestrian street Manski. The public is also welcome to attend the mini education fair at the Synergy Center Kohoa on Manski.
